MAX IV Laboratory and LINXS offer a unique opportunity to combine theoretical lectures with hands-on training at the synchrotron. The lectures serve as an introductory step for new users, providing a solid foundation in the techniques utilizing soft X-rays, while data analysis classes and beamline exercises offer valuable opportunities to engage with experienced scientists and discuss user projects. MAX IV staff members are excellent resources for guidance on data collection and interpretation. This Summer School focuses on techniques using soft X-rays, e.g.  X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS).
